Beavercreek's 2026 trick-or-treat hours are Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m., according to WHIO's 2026 Halloween guide. That's the date most families are looking for. It also points to a gap. When I checked this week, the City Events section of the city's October calendar had no Beggars' Night entry. Most of this month's Halloween happens the same way. Two shopping centers, two churches, the county library and the community theatre run the bulk of it on their own calendars, and the city hosts one Saturday morning.
So the month's events are spread across about seven websites. Once you know who's hosting what, October is easy to plan.

Of the nine rows, the city hosts two. Both fall on the same Saturday morning, an hour apart.
The City's Piece Is One Saturday Morning in Two Parks
On Saturday, Oct. 17, Boo Bash Trail runs from 9 to 11 a.m. at Dominick Lofino Park. The Fall Tree Hike at Cinnamon Ridge Park starts at 10 a.m. and wraps up by 11. Since the times overlap, plan on one park or the other unless you start the trail right at 9 and drive straight over.
These two events set up the rest of the month. The city's Halloween happens in daylight, outdoors and before lunch. Everything later in the day, and every indoor or nighttime option, comes from somebody else.
The city does have other family events this month, but they aren't Halloween events. Today, Saturday, Oct. 3, Try-a-Truck runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 789 Orchard Lane. The city is also collecting feedback there on a replacement design for the closed Shoup Park slide. A second feedback session is Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Senior Center, 3868 Dayton-Xenia Road. As of Sept. 25, 220 donors had given $21,730 toward a project of about $100,000, and the city hasn't set a construction timeline.
The Shopping Centers Run the Trick-or-Treat Rehearsals
The Greene and the Mall at Fairfield Commons each hold store-to-store trick-or-treating before Oct. 31. They schedule them at very different times of the week.
The Greene's Fall Fest & Trick or Treat is Sunday, Oct. 18, from noon to 4 p.m., with local vendors along with the store-to-store candy route. It's the first Fall Fest since L.L.Bean opened at 69 Chestnut St. on Aug. 28. A four-hour Sunday afternoon window suits younger kids, who can try on a costume in daylight two weeks before the real thing.
Mall-O-Ween at the Mall at Fairfield Commons is Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. It includes store trick-or-treating, entertainment, photo opportunities and a costume contest. It's the only Halloween event on this list held on a school night, and it's indoors, so it's the backup if weather knocks out a weekend plan.
The Pentagon Boulevard side of town gets something new this fall too, though maybe not by Halloween. Escapology Beavercreek, at 3286 Pentagon Blvd. in Fairfield Crossing, is aiming for a soft opening near the end of October and a grand opening in mid-November, according to the Beavercreek Chamber of Commerce's Oct. 2 release. The family-owned venue is planning eight escape rooms and two party rooms, and it's running a community puzzle called the "Escapologist Quest" ahead of the grand opening. Its own website still says "Coming Soon," so don't count on it for Halloween weekend yet.
Churches and the Library Cover the Weekends In Between
The two church events cover the weekends that neither the city nor the shopping centers take.
University Baptist Church kicks off the season on Saturday, Oct. 10. Its Fall Festival, with a chili cookoff and a bonfire, runs from 4 to 9 p.m. on the UBC grounds at 2223 Hanes Road, and it's free. No other event on the calendar runs as late as 9 p.m. until the theater opens its show.
Fairhaven Church holds its Beavercreek Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at 3255 Seajay Drive. Admission is $2 per person. It's the last weekend event before Oct. 31 and the closest thing on the calendar to a practice run of Beggars' Night, since it's held outdoors at dusk.
For teenagers who've outgrown candy routes, the Greene County Public Library has two options at the Carol Graff Beavercreek Library, 3618 Dayton-Xenia Road. Trivia Murder Party is Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Creepy Acts of Kindness runs online all month, Oct. 1 through 31, and participants complete the tasks at home.
Saturday the 31st Has Two Events Back to Back
Most years, Beggars' Night lands on a weeknight and is the last thing in a short evening. In 2026, Oct. 31 is a Saturday, and the community theater has a show that night.
Beavercreek Community Theatre's Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors runs Oct. 23 through Nov. 1, with shows Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. The theater's ticketing page lists a performance on Saturday, Oct. 31. Curtain is 8 p.m., the same time trick-or-treat ends. The theater is at 868 Dayton-Xenia Road, so a household with older kids or no kids could hand out candy from 6 to 8 and catch a later performance another night. Or go to the 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 25 or Nov. 1 and keep Saturday evening free.
Driving to a neighboring town on the 31st won't buy you extra trick-or-treat time. WHIO lists Bellbrook, Fairborn and Xenia at the same 6 to 8 p.m. window, and Kettering's official event listing has the same date and hours. I couldn't find a confirmed 2026 schedule for Sugarcreek Township. If you have family there, check the township directly before you plan around it.
Planning the Month Weekend by Weekend
With the events sorted by host, the month falls into four weekends plus two weeknights:
- Oct. 10: University Baptist Church's chili cookoff and bonfire, 4 to 9 p.m., free.
- Oct. 14, a Wednesday: The library's Trivia Murder Party for teens, 6:30 p.m.
- Oct. 17–18: The city's Boo Bash Trail or Fall Tree Hike Saturday morning, then The Greene's Fall Fest on Sunday afternoon.
- Oct. 23–25: BCT's Dracula opens Friday, and Fairhaven's Trunk or Treat is Sunday evening.
- Oct. 28, a Wednesday: Mall-O-Ween, the indoor backup, 5 to 7 p.m.
- Oct. 31: Beggars' Night, 6 to 8 p.m., with BCT's 8 p.m. curtain right after.
Before you lock in your plans, check any date that matters to you on that event's own page, since each host updates its calendar on its own schedule.
If your family is new to Beavercreek this fall, maybe after a PCS move or a long-distance relocation you handled mostly by video, figuring out who runs each part of the month is a lot to sort out on your own.
